11.19 OSU vs Penn State Game Watch 11/19/2011
A sad loss for OSU, but nevertheless a great time with Pittsburgh Buckeyes! Add Comment Last night, Buckeyes from all over the Pittsburgh area came together at the Meet the Players Dinner to raise money for charity and hear former OSU Football players - James Cotton, Michael Wiley, Cie Grant, and Rodney Bailey - talk about their experiences during their time at OSU. Cie Grant even sang us his rendition of "Carmen Ohio"! Through the silent auction, many of the 50 attendees came away from the event with autographed OSU memorabilia, and other great prizes to support the Buck-Icon Foundation, that teaches underprivileged and underserved youths the fundamentals of football, founded by James Cotton. Thank you to everyone that came out, and a special thanks to President Scott Schnoover, his wife Gwen, and Mike and Tara Williams for all of their hard work in putting this entire event together and cooking all of the food themselves! 9/17 OSU vs Miami Gamewatch 09/18/2011
Even though the game didn't turn out like we all hoped, the 100+ Buckeye fans still had a great time at Mullen's North Shore! We also did a 50/50 and an Archie Griffin signed helmet raffle, which raised $275 for the March of Dimes, in honor of OSU Founders Day, marking Ohio State's first day of classes in 1873. Many other OSU groups were also doing fundraisers yesterday as well. Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone who participated and made this donation possible! The Alumni Association will also be matching our $275 donation as well. Please checkout some of out pictures below, and feel free to leave a comment if you'd like! See you next weekend at the SOUTH SIDE Mullens! Toledo @ OSU Gamewatch 09/10/2011
Thank you to everyone who came out to the OSU vs Toledo game watch at Mullen's in the Southside. There were about 40 people in attendance. Starting in 2010, led by Susan Dismukes, the OSU Club of Pittsburgh began throwing a "Send off" Picnic for incoming students. This year, we had over 50 students/ parents in attendance. Students were able to meet and get to know other students coming from the Pittsburgh area. This year's event was held at North Park on Thursday, Sept 1st. | Blog Entries by TopicAll Search Blogs by Date |
